Better than the X Version

This is a powerful Earl Grey tea scent. That opening citrus is complex tartness. It like a bartender took all those rinds and squeezed them in front of your face and the air is filled with the tart sweetness. Wūlóng Chá X opens the same way. The middle is where you can start to really pick up a difference between the two fragrances. Where the X version lightens up into the green tea note with floral notes, this fragrance becomes black tea earthy with the citrus still sticking around. Then the two fragrances match each other again in the dry down, with a earthy slightly musky scent. Its not much of a difference between the two, but smelling them side by side, I think the original version is the better version. The Yuzu in the X version smells a little bit like nail polish remover and the middle floral notes slightly overpower the green tea. This fragrance also lasted 6 hours on my skin and it had good projection throughout. Its a good fragrance but I do not think its $95 for 15ml or $220 for 50ml good. This is way overpriced in my opinion especially with other more affordable tea fragrances around.
