Lovely! or too-long-for-a-statement commentary
I blindly bought Coeur de Jardin in the hope of a fresh and flowery everyday flatterer.
I haven't even done any research, which I usually do thoroughly. Luckily, because if I had known about the supposed pear-peach dominance, I might have left it there.
I'm not so good with pears. When I smell them out, I often think of sweet and flabby pear compote and with peaches it is not much better, they often smell plastic to me or like cream yoghurt aroma
The "garden series" by Miller Harris has the motto "jardins d'enfance", which means "gardens of childhood". This makes one suspect idyllic things and in fact I feel transported to a different place or especially to another season.
"Coeur de jardin" for me is: Spring! As innocent as the childhood memory association leads one to believe, the fragrance doesn't smell to me despite all the idyll.

The top note reminds me of freshly sparkling champagne, perhaps embellished with something fruity to accompany a cocktail a la Hugo. Maybe there's a party in the garden!? Fresh acidity is present, but I do not find the fragrance "sour" or really citric at any time.
At this time I smell flowers abundantly, without any of them coming out strongly. I can sniff rose and jasmine if I make an effort...and the base with its patchouli and moss notes is also found in echoes. There is also a dewy damp smell throughout, the freshness in the fragrance I actually find "dewy fresh". Or it might have rained recently, which would be no wonder in an English garden.
the whole thing is invigorating and clean, but also has a certain human warmth in the base - it is not an abandoned garden and in its cosy corners it invites couples in love to get to know each other better ;-).

Now to my ominous title: Maybe one or the other of you has thought of Sarah Jessica Parker's "Lovely" and is not sooo wrong. However, it is by no means a twin to it. Lovely I had once and could not "smell him nice" even with several attempts. However, I had imagined Lovely before actually exactly the way "Coeur de Jardin" actually smells:
An invigorating alcoholic drink without smelling boozy, a fresh flowery-clean component and a thoroughly sensual base. You can wear it not only to work and everyday life, but also to the evening garden party. By the way, there were already compliments, so weak on the chest, as I thought at first, he does not seem to be.
So if you already have a bit of a longing for spring, you're guaranteed not to do anything wrong with it :-).

A modern chypre or Fruitichouli. I like
Now I've finally bought the Coeur de Jardin. Blind, put on the comments of the bloggers and on the one of altruism much confidence. And what am I supposed to say to my impressions?

These are not as expected, but very positive. For me the scent is not a garden as the name suggests. At least that's not how I imagine a garden. In my opinion, the smell lacks the earthy and the green (which should predominate proportionally). No, the scent is not green and also not very flowery.

Most likely it can be described as herb-sweet or compared with a fragrant honey.
The fragrance is definitely fruity-sweet. An overripe pear lies in his heart. But that's not all. The fragrance is chypre-like, especially at the beginning, in its very distinctive opening.

Ripe pears and peaches get more astringency and freshness due to skilful Hesperid notes, and I think I also notice Moss and Patchouli right at the beginning. Even in this fantastic phase, the fragrance reminds me a little of "Mitsouko" by Guerlain. In the heart, the fragrance then becomes slightly less tart and tangy, and more round and honey-pearly-sweet. But the olfactory impression cannot be called simple. The base is warm, soft, beautiful and erotic: it's a little patchouli (a little bit like a mango) and that in a fine way.

The fragrance holds incredibly well on the skin-actually all day long! (Unusual for Miller Harris) and has a medium projection, especially the first 4-5 hours, especially if one sprays that additionally into the hair or on the clothing (where it loses, however, at its chypre-like qualities)

Conclusion: a fantastic, good and unique fragrance. A clear recommendation from a person who does not normally like sweet fruity scents. This one's special somehow.

the garden
Miller Harris has interpreted the interpretation of a garden in his own way. Where one expects opulent floridity due to the name one is quickly disabused.
After spraying, the tangy and sour freshness of the Hesperides is immediately apparent, with a slightly fruity sweetness of pear and peach. This is also where the pleasant freshness effect is created, which makes the fragrance appear airy.
Contrary to this, however, the heart note is very quickly revealed, which appears undefined. A jumble of rose, jasmine, tuberose and vanilla literally cuts off the initially fresh fragrance. This is quickly joined by a dull, powdery note from the base. The earthy patchouli, moss and powdery iris give clear signals here in the heart note. On the one hand this clearly slows down the floral buoyancy of the heart note, on the other hand I dislike the dull impact. A real contrast.
Moss, patchouli and iris clearly set the tone, even if the fruit and flower of the head/heart note can still be heard in the background, everything seems somehow slowed down Was it Miller Harris's intention to give the whole thing a multifaceted quality or did they just want to be different from the 08/15 floral scents? If one wanted to capture the whole range of garden scents, then it would not have been successful for me here.
With the clear players Patchouli, Moss and Iris it is difficult to add further nuances to the base. Amber and musk are almost lost here in the superiority of their colleagues. Traces can be perceived well, these make the base soft and fading out.
Be that as it may, the scent will polarize.
But maybe it is the contrast that makes the fragrance stand out from the crowd and makes it interesting?!
The shelf life is 4-5 h, the silage is medium. Close to the skin the scent is naturally longer available.
