Why is it so unpopular?
I once again came across an almost forgotten fragrance while rummaging through my "Würzlingen".
Of course, I immediately had to check whether I had a) entered it, b) classified it, c) briefly described it and d) commented on it. Now I see that this "Michalski", which is quite appealing in and of itself, comes off much worse here than my nose perceives it to be.
Indeed, it is nothing absolutely new and also not widespread "mainstream" that you could hear the perfume on "every corner". Nor is it a "typical drugstore fragrance" or a "niche" fragrance.
For me, it's somewhere in between. It has a distinctly spicy, woody, sometimes smoky character and is neither too "thin" nor too "thick". It has a fairly long-lasting finish, the sillage is well perceptible, not too much or too little. Its top notes are "warm-fresh" due to the citrus fruits, which then later turn into a slightly peppery, smoky spiciness and, after a good 6 hours, end more quietly in a powerful, woody, gently sweet-balsamic and "leathery" earthy presence, without completely pushing the "pre-notes" into the background. I am therefore quite surprised and somewhat disappointed that this "Berlin III" has received so little attention. It is definitely worth this review to me in order to possibly make other fragrance lovers curious about it. There are much "lousier" perfumes, even in the higher price segment!
