My birth perfume
That's a hell of a hook, isn't it? In fact, I wore "Lolita Lempicka" the day before my daughter was born. Thursday afternoon still drinking coffee, in the evening at shortly after 19 o'clock amniotic sac burst, the next morning already mummy. 4 weeks early, that's how fast it can go ^^ for that reason alone I can never part with this fragrance.

Who now wants a detailed Ausandernahme of the individual fragrance components, I must unfortunately disappoint. Some perfumes I can feel rather than describe, and this one is definitely one of them. There is no great scent progression on my skin, and if I had to describe it in one word, it would be "enchanted forest". I could imagine it smelling like this in a forest inhabited by fairies, gnomes, gnomes, unicorns and other mythical creatures. Mystical, spicy, cool, sweet. I detect mostly a shiny black and red amarena cherry, spicy anise, ivy and - watch out - salt. Salty vanilla, a very slight resemblance to the original Olympea as far as saltiness is concerned. Praline, musk and tonka bean I don't smell, or else they blend incredibly well with the vanilla, because that's what I smell. This is an exceptional composition that lasts from early to late, and the sillage is also amazing for such a little apple. The scent exudes innocence for me, but at the same time, it's fierce. It also exudes a certain coolness, like Naomi Campbell's "Cat deluxe". Fascinating, not a crowdpleaser or ever-walker. And for me, forever a reminder that unexpected often comes often.

Fun fact: shortly after being admitted to the hospital, I texted a friend late at night that I didn't think I was ready to be a mommy :-D I distinctly remember sniffling to myself for a second and thinking, "Alright Lolita, we rock it!" And we rocked it. We still do

The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy
Rarely have I encountered a perfume with more massive reservations than Lolita Lempicka. Untested, I had written the fragrance off as an Angel daughter - which, by the way, it is - and that's not usually my world. Eventually, however, enthusiasm for the gorgeous bottle conquered my preconceptions and LL landed on the back of my hand while shopping at a well-known drugstore chain. After all, I wanted to make sure I could scrub it off as quickly as possible if the worst came to the worst.
My first impression was: harmless. Whew. Lucky. And as I continued to maneuver my shopping cart between shelves of toilet paper and dog food, I had almost forgotten about the scent.

Until something incredible happened ...

Tchaikovsky sounded before my inner ear. First timidly, then more and more clearly I heard chords from the Nutcracker, and before I knew what happened to me, I turned there, on the corner between baby wipes and dry shampoo, into the Sugarplum Fairy. A wonderfully transparent aura of herbaceous violet notes at odds with the sugary sweetness of amarena cherries and cotton candy clouds shimmered around me, the glow of green accents and cool anise lending an unprecedented lightness and freshness to the dreaded gourmand patchouli, only to land gently on a feathery pillow of iris and velvety violet.
In hindsight, I couldn't swear if I hadn't really and truly stood on my toes and danced ballet that day at the local Dorgeriemarkt.

What a happy, carefree scent! When I spray it on, it reliably elicits a smile. For all its sweetness and lightness, it doesn't lack depth and I discover new facets every time I wear it. The Tchaikovsky impression remains - sometimes as a classical ballet, sometimes in Duke Ellington's version.
LL has taught me that a perfume is more than the sum of its parts, and that being a pyramid snob deprives you of so many beautiful olfactory experiences. You never know where hidden treasures are waiting.

Bewitching Snow White
As white as snow
As red as blood
As black as ebony
A fairytale white winter forest. Soft snow adorns the trees and covers the lush, green soil completely untouched.
Heavenly silence. The air is cool and crystal clear. A moment could not be purer. Snowflakes fall silently from the sky and blend in uniquely and perfectly with the landscape A fragrance takes shape.
Silently, gracefully, with bare feet, an apparition strides along between the trees. She stops in a clearing. A ruby red, silky soft cloak envelops the figure. The large hood covers her delicate face. Her bared slender legs sink into the snow almost up to her knees.
Slowly she pulls the hood back and her long, shiny black hair falls in waves like a waterfall over her hips. Her enchanting face facing the sky, her eyes closed, she enjoys the tender, ice-cold touch of the snowflakes. She slightly opens her perfectly curved blood-red lips and moans comfortably, barely audible. Slowly she licks the slowly melting snow crystals from her lips with her tongue. She spreads her arms and starts to turn in circles to a silent melody. The cape slips off her shoulder and exposes her flawless skin. She smiles sunken with closed eyes.
I wish I could read her mind.
I wish I could feel her feelings I wish I could get inside her body I wish I was her! Suddenly she stops. The smell has become more tangible. A childhood memory, a candy stand that leaves nothing to be desired, from fruity and creamy to herbal candies and liquorice. But also something attractive, forbidden, poisonous

A scent for woodland fairies
I was really interested in trying this fragrance to see what all the fuss was about. Prior to testing I assumed Lolita Lempicka would be a sweet, sugary gourmand, something similar to Fantasy by Britney Spears and Pink Sugar by Aquolina, I must admit that I was wrong.

Lolita Lempicka isn't terribly sweet, in fact it's quite deep, strong, spicy and woodsy.

This fragrance opens with a bang! My nose was assaulted with licorice, mahogany and anise. At first this combination didn't appeal to me because it wasn't what I expected, however since testing this scent again, I'll admit that this perfume grows on you.

In a strange kind of way, Lolita Lempicka is creamy and warm. The muskiness that this fragrance creates actually reminds me of the scent of a dense and damp forest, especially during Winter when the musky/woody smell is the strongest.

The drydown was also a surprise for me because I somehow expected a soft vanilla blend, however the vetiver and tobacco gave this drydown a more earthy and masculine finish.

Overall, I must be honest and admit that Lolita Lempicka isn't really my cup of tea. However, with that being said, on the right person this could smell amazing. I somehow picture this fragrance being worn by someone with a unique personality and style. Perhaps a woman who loves to dress in bohemian or hippy clothes and dances to her own tune. But that's just my opinion.

If it suits you and you love it, why shouldn't you wear it?

Something so special
This fragrance stands out. Nobody else around me smells like this. Pleasant, well-groomed, very perceptible but unobtrusive. Gourmand without any annoying sweetness. I think it's a work of art. Niche fragrance level at an affordable price. The bottle is special and artistic, just like the fragrance itself. For me, this is not a fragrance for every day, but for special occasions. I will be looking for a bunker bottle of this.
