Just don't spill it....
So, confession, I haven't worn this really during my years of owning it.

When I purchased it (my bottle looks like the one on frangrantica) it arrived with the provided glass atomizer broken in shards. I was less experienced re:decanting then and my subsequent attempt to move some into my own travel atomizer resulted in some bathroom spillage. Not a lot, but definitely enough to fry my nose and perfume my bathroom for DAYS. So much so that I then had a visceral reaction to the smell and needed a break.

(The same thing happened with a bottle of Alien Extrait that arrived leaking....however, as anyone familiar with even the original Alien can imagine, a leaked extrait version--which I had to clean up in order to process the return--unfortunately resulted in a permanent aversion!!)

It's now been a few years and the last few weeks I FINALLY felt ready to come back to this one. The edp is known for being strong; and the extrait is indeed STRONGER. It's one of the sneaky-strong types; nose to skin its not too loud; which makes you tend to overapply, but the scent bubble is POWERFUL.

The most powerful elements are green; the juniper/cypress has an herbal-tinge that reminds me almost of rosemary. This, combined with the apricot and maple-syrup immortelle definitely gives a strong culinary vibe. On skin the amber and creamy-floral elements bloom and waft in and out throughout the wear; however on fabric (*cough* or spilled) the herbal-greens dominates with the sweet creaminess only faintly lurking in the background.

I find it completely wearable (re: non challenging) on skin. Although there is a sharpness to it though from the herbal elements that I think would turn off anyone that doesn't love green/herbal scents. On skin although it doesn't transition from open to dry-down much the scent constantly swirls and changes around you; florals and spices peaking through the green in little waves.

Be gentle though; a little goes a long way an too much is definitely overwhelming. I'm so glad I can finally wear it again, it's truly beautiful in the fall here.
