Abduction of a perfume company
I've always liked quince in fragrances. It gives a certain sweetness with a special impact. Not simply banal sugar sweet, but a sensual-melancholic sweetness with a fruity touch. Here it is precisely this note that opens the fragrance pleasure and holds itself for some time until a very dark, ripe plum is added. Jasmine contributes something full of flowers and the three notes become a dessert-like, gourmand treat that lures you incessantly. On my skin with already sweet self-smell the quince note holds itself even more persistently, than on fabric. Luckily, before I start to fight my arm more and more, the rose comes in between and pinches me one with its thorns. It skillfully blends with the top notes as if it were only meant to. I could imagine that even opponents of roses would enjoy such a completely fragrant, beautifully sensual flower. Seductively she strokes the nose and soul with her leaves softly and tenderly and threatens to lever out the mind with her manner. What a luxuriant and rich carpet of fragrance lies over my skin and the sprayed fabric...! This scent borders on a dream. I float lulled through space and time on a vanilla-coloured cloud. I have no idea where the airy tissue will take me, but I let myself drift willlessly on it. We are climbing higher and higher, but the air is not getting thinner, the opposite is the case. The finest, densely waving fragrances permeate the atmosphere and caress my senses. Amber, vanilla, oud in the noblest variation waft around my face, mix into one, only to dance again as soloists around my figure in the next moment. The cloud is getting a little darker. From her a woody scent rises up to me. It is also added to the rows of other notes and released again. There's nothing around me but white emptiness. Only the wind that holds the scents in itself and carries the cloud with me can be heard. But are we actually flying or are we in the air? I can't tell you. I can't tell you. Nothing flits past us, which would indicate a flight. Nothing remains before or around us, which would indicate a standstill. My gaze is looking for orientation. Where's up, where's down? Am I here or am I somewhere else? All I can clearly perceive are these overwhelmingly sensual and full fragrances, which combine again and again into a single composition and then seemingly take a different path one by one, only to do the same again moments later. And I'm in the middle of it. Trapped in this intoxicating frenzy. Serfs of one fragrance and of several, who can reach their goal of seducing me only too easily. A sweet temptation that hits my taste exactly in the middle when it comes to gourmand fragrances. My little heart trembles and my eyes shine like I'm a kid in a candy store. I close my eyes and soak up all the impressions around me. The thorax lifts itself more and more and takes everything in itself with pleasure.
When I exhale and open my eyes, I am back home and in my bed. I look around questioningly. Was it really just a dream? Everything felt so real, did I actually experience this trip? I see the bottle of Giorgio Gold next to me on the bedside table. What's he doing? His place is in the bathroom. I reach for him as if steered far away and lead the spray head to my nose. I close my eyes and let the fragrance make its way into my senses. Suddenly I find myself again on the vanilla-coloured cloud in the seemingly boundless white nothingness. But this time I'm not questioning. I let it happen. Float. Enjoy. Its.
Once again I let myself be seduced. Seduced by the kidnapping. The kidnapping of a perfume...

Can also be worn in the restaurant...
Giorgio, the yellow and white classic, who in the 80s was even banned from many Hollywood restaurants because he was so extremely strong, derived his appeal from his radiant, siren-like floridity. Lush, voluminous chords surrounded the wearer for hours and sometimes caused headaches. What was trendy at that time (it followed Poison! woman wore Loulou and Montana ...), hadn't even smelled Oudh in the beginning or was scratched past him. Today, however, Oudh is the new musk - or the new vanilla. In any case, it is almost omnipresent. So also in this relatively new fragrance from the USA (2016).
Most of the time I don't like Oudh notes, the more expensive the fragrance, the stronger they are. Maybe they are even natural and right, really precious...
But the eau de parfum discussed here most likely uses synthetic oudh, otherwise the low price could not be explained. Otherwise I can't make sense of the fact that this fragrance is relatively pleasant to me. Unlike genuine Arabic fragrances, this "Giorgio Gold" is a relatively restrained oudh rose fragrance that has been adapted to western tastes. Although this EdP also has a very good durability and radiates warmth, it lacks the deep, resinous nuances of natural oudh. The fragrance has not only synthetic oudh parts, but also a distinct cashmere note, combined with vanilla. At the beginning, diffuse fruit aromas are called, quince and plum or what chemists can present as such.
The rose does not appear too dominant, is flanked by jasmine and smells very familiar.
"Giorgio Gold" is not a milestone, nor is it a masterpiece. Rather, it is a wearable, slightly sweet, adapted fashion fragrance that is particularly suitable in winter and evenings. He skilfully picks up the oudh rose theme in such a way that a feel-good fragrance is created that has a completely different effect from a niche oudh rose perfume. It is an Oudhy floral in "inoffensive style" that can be worn without having to play the thick, fat Arabia Orient card. It's just an oudh scent like some people want: Neither too provocative nor too erotic, but nevertheless enveloping and somehow smelling like a modern perfume.
This also shows that synthetics need not be negative at all. Priced in the lower range, I personally enjoy this well-behaved Giorgio more than the expensive nicheoudhs. Whether I will wear it much in the end, remains to be seen.
The bottle definitely looks fantastic.
For almost 15 Euro I did nothing wrong here

A beautiful Rose-Oud scent
Giorgio "Gold" is a true miracle! Purchased from TK Maxx (based on existing statements) for only 14.99 and fully convinced by him.
The impression of the first minutes: this is rather an oud rose, the oud is much too biting and much too present. But this impression is a powerful deception. The fragrance quickly calms down, it becomes rounder, softer, it becomes Rose-Oud.
A wonderful unsweet (just a hint of sweetness), hypothermic by oud, a little bit smoky deep dark red rose blossoms on my skin. You have the impression of seeing the petals in front of you. No plum, no fruit far and wide on my skin in this middle (long lasting!!!) rosy phase, thank God!
Finally, in Base, the scent changes again! In my opinion it becomes a kind of "Mon Numéro 10" by L'Artisan Parfumeur (a fragrance that I have and that I like very much) or M7 Oud Absolu by Yves Saint Laurent (newer version).
From beginning to end it is a beautiful, successful, interesting fragrance. The durability is super and the Sillage is fully in order (does not kill anyone)

Giorgio's Orient Trip
Good old Giorgio. I haven't heard from him for many years, or smelt anything.
Now the good guy comes back from a long trip to the Orient and has actually brought a great fragrance with him.
At least the ideas for it. He strolled through orchards and inserted their aromas as an "introduction" to a woody floral scent. Quince and plum/zwetschge set the tone here. But not in the "gourmand" sense, but as a "base" for what follows.
Via Bulgaria, whose magnificent. fragrant roses inspired him, he then came to Arabia, where he smelled the eagle wood (oud) for the first time.
That had to be another ingredient for his new perfume, of course. And how he enjoyed the desire to become "düftlerisch" active again, with all the scents of Arabia.
Finally he came to Kashmir where more olfactory glories awaited him.
A special wood is named after this area, which attracted his attention. This one also smells good. Again a little different than Oud, a little bitter and slightly rough. And delicious for a "fragrance".
A little more frankincense, myrrh and vanilla, and the idea for a round and soft autumn scent was ready, which encourages cloudy thoughts on foggy days and envelops them like a soft wool jacket.
From all the impressions that Giorgio gathered, he immediately put the fragrance ideas into action.
And the result is "Giorgio Gold".
Beverly Hills had a beautiful new fragrance that after some time traveled around the world to land with me.
