Sultry tuberose
Now that BoraBora has already given me toilet perfume vibes, I've already lowered my expectations of Amalfolia a little - then it will be easier to exceed them. At least that's the plan. The fragrance notes are a good match for the Amalfi Coast: fruity, fresh, a little floral. Immediate thoughts of Italy, sea, beach, vacation. Oh my!

Almafolia has nothing whatsoever to do with the aforementioned associations. It is a sticky, overpowering fragrance. Not in the good way. If I hadn't seen the pretty, modern packaging, I would have thought I'd accidentally picked up a 20-year-old sample from my grandma that was once in a Brigitte magazine. Turgid describes it quite well. Simply too much. Too much flower, too stuffy, absolutely no lightness.
Tuberose and ylang-ylang have overtaken the musk and vanilla in the Mediterranean.

A melancholic Tuberose
Tuberose is undoubtedly one of the main flowers of perfumery: disturbing, seductive, rich in mystical meanings.
Used by the Aztec people, forbidden flower in the Renaissance, the protagonist of every bridal chamber in India: its scent does not go unnoticed.
I find the tuberose in this fragrance particular: initially exotic, but with a melancholic undertone, I find it nostalgic, like a reminiscence of a passion now over, the memory of which brings to mind the sensations and shivers experienced, with the awareness that they will never return .
“Nostalgia was a vice of her soul.
She loved to live in what is lost”
