Fine aura with little secrets!
I came to this fragrance today "like the virgin to the child"! A slightly tricky affair with hopefully a simple explanation...
My niece was visiting and after a while she handed me a bottle I didn't know. "It's from my friend's mother," she said. "She gave it to L., but she didn't like it. Then she gave it to me, but I didn't like it either"...
She knows that I collect fragrances and as she is 28 years young, she thought it was too "old-fashioned" for her. So the "ghost" ended up with me and now haunts my left forearm with its scent.
It reminds me of a secret garden that is home to all kinds of native and some exotic plants. Like the slightly overgrown garden around an old palace. It is surrounded by a fine aura of well-kept family secrets of the residents.
Toses and lilies grow here, apricot trees blossom in sheltered spots to later bear velvety fruit. The fine scent of incense wafts around, wherever it may come from. And the smell of powder, as it could come from blue iris. A soft woody scent and delicate musk.
This "spirit" also seems to me to have fallen out of time. Like over 100 years ago, when there were still lavish parties in the aforementioned palace. Costume parties in the "Rococo style", in gowns and with powdered wigs, playful frills - both the ladies and the gentlemen. And spritzed with the appropriate perfumes that would compete with the scent of the garden.
Yes, he is "old-fashioned", this "ghost"...
Who knows how long it has been happily haunting the garden!
