Warm milk & fresh peony
This was not on my radar at all until I had the opportunity to try a sample. It's a surprisingly interesting fragrance!
The 3 notes of peony, milk and almond are all noticeable. It takes a moment for them to come together as one. In the opening, the contrast between the fresh, clean peony and the warm milk feels weird and overwhelming, but after a few minutes, they blend together into something cozy.
This has a warm milk note, like steaming milk foam for a coffee drink. The almond is also quite milky, so it smells like a mix of regular milk and almond milk. Next to the milk foam you find a bouquet of blooming pink peonies, fresh and dewy, that keeps the scent from being too much of a literal gourmand.
After the opening this is doesn't change much anymore. It lives from the contrast of warm, sweet, almost buttery milkiness and the cool floral breeze of peony. Not for everyone, but soft enough for daytime wear.
Unfortunately this seems to be discontinued and nowhere to be found anymore, but I think TK maxx sometimes has this brand for cheap, so I'll keep my eyes open.
