Heartwarming caramel
Gourmand heaven! This really smells edible. I'm not the biggest fan of very literal gourmands, I usually prefer those with a little perfumey twist, but I'll make exceptions for beauties like Joli Coeur.
This is a very creamy, scrumptious caramel scent with a touch of freshly candied/roasted almonds and, of course, vanilla. The opening is full of dark cacao, which doesn't smell like chocolate or hot cocoa here, but exactly like the unsweetened cacao powder you use for baking. It only lasts for an hour or so, then the caramel takes over, but it's beautiful while it's there, and the drydown is just as lovely. I think there is a hint of unlisted musk in this to anchor the caramel and vanilla base blend on the skin, which I appreciate. Everything else is pure heartwarming, cozy gourmand goodness.
If you're looking for a winter warmer with a natural and realistic sweetness, I highly recommend this.
