Vetiver - the synthetic purity of sweet wood
This is a perfume that consists of just one fragrance note - a liquid that contains only one substance: vetiver, a sweet wood. It's like listening to a single note instead of a song. Just one fragrance note instead of several chords. And that is eccentric, but also exciting. Vetiver is green and plant and grass and earth and wood, but it also smells earthy and leathery to me. Leather and vetiver are often combined in perfumes, which is probably why it evokes this leathery association for me. It certainly smells synthetic, leathery, earthy. Definitely something unique and unforgettable - definitely something to try. I wouldn't have thought it was perfume when I smelled it on someone, but rather a smell from a garden with garden plants - sorry, sounds strange, but it's not necessarily bad.

Only for the vetiver lover
Molecule 03 is an intense smokey, vegetal vetiver scent - to my nose along the lines of the vetiver profile in Les Exclusifs de Chanel Sycomore but much, much stronger, more pungent, and almost body odor/musky in nature. In my opinion Molecule 03 is a scent for the vetiver connoisseur who is confidant and doesn't care what other people think because it seems to be very off putting to everyone else (maybe because the vetiver has no other notes to balance or soften the strong vegetal, body odor-ish scent profile).

Molecule 03 is an underrated gem that should be experienced by every vetiver lover.

Love at third sight!
After I read here at essencevitae that it smells like "celery", I suddenly smelled celery too and thought to myself "OMG, what a bad buy!"

But the scent didn't let me go, I found myself using it over and over again and now I think it's totally awesome! In contrast to many other vetivers, which I find rather as fragrances for "older men", the M03 is timeless, ageless and super fresh! You just shouldn't get too luxuriant with it.

Useful
Yes, even a perfume can be useful. Especially when it's as - apparently - one-dimensional as this one. Applying Excentric Molecule No. 3 alone works, you just can't overdo it. One spray is enough, the scent lasts long and is pungent / fresh / citric-hot.

I use it if one of my countless sample fillings seems too flowery/sweet. A little splash here and there fixes the problem and sometimes conjures up quite tasty final results, which of course are hardly reproducible.

I don't know why I bought the whole bottle back then, but now it's there and serves as my olfactory medicine. How fitting, isn't it?
