A drop of holiday
Vivara is a small island in the Mediterranean Sea, which would perfectly fulfil a longing for a holiday on the beach under the southern sun, which would arise again and again in this Corona summer 2020... - if I could/might travel there.
But fortunately it still exists, the old Vivara perfume from Pucci, the Italian specialist for silk jersey fashion in bright colours and characteristic patterns.
Vivara is as radiant as a pucci fabric, a green chypre that immediately evokes a Mediterranean landscape. Lemon, bergamot, cypress, rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang, sandalwood and labdanum create a lively and carefree fragrance.

(No calone far and wide. Also no seaweed, fennel or salt).

You look at the Mediterranean Sea, a small wave breaks like a soft sigh at your feet.
Sunny luck in the wind, nonchalance. The horizon is blurring.
A short escape to a holiday island, captured in a tiny drop of "Vivara perfume".
I'm off..

The impossible becomes possible
Here I have to do with a fragrance that gives me some headaches. (I call a small sample tube my own. Thank you, dear E.)
A fragrance that manages to put my nose to the test completely.
After a swab of it on my wrist I first had to recalibrate my nose with 4711 (works fine) in order to do "Vivara" again more precisely.
I have the impression that this EdP is reluctant to reveal its secrets because it is so complex. What I first perceive is a spiced, green-looking fruit sorbet that is both "citric" and "apricot" in appearance.
This is combined with a series of flowers, rose and carnation are superficial, but an inkling of deeper layers makes me curious. I can literally feel it in front of me, very close, as if something is "on your tongue", then it disappears when you want to say it.
But in the next thoughtless moment again appears, as if it wanted a "fool".
A fleeting breath becomes a scent element, inky, heavy, dark? Then again the brightness of the flowers, almost cool.
No chance? Get it? It gains strength... MOOS!! it flashes inside of me.
But there's more. Down there. Under the bottom? Indeed...
Another short 4711 break, two minutes waiting... i'll re-smell you in "Vivara." Now the "undercover hunches" are approaching. A shred of sandalwood... now staying. Frankincense, myrrh, patchouli.... pulsating. Then again the flowers from earlier and the "green" from even further earlier. Lost base!!??
No, it disappears, only to reappear all the more not-you-not-present.
Then a kind of leather, dark, slightly bulky... grumbles and adapts to the scent.
The previous fullness of the fragrance is still there, now only like behind a smoked glass pane, behind it bright, coloured lights flash from time to time, then it is dimmed again "smoked glass"....
I believe that the perfumer(s) have made it possible to give a fragrance a life of its own. Change in slow motion, hardly to grasp,
but when minutes have passed without smelling, and then does it again...
Could I believe I missed something in the meantime.
But if I continuously smelled, I would notice "nothing".
Impossible?????
No!!!!!

This isn't your original Chypre your grandmom used to wear
This isn't your original Chypre your grandmom used to wear it's clean and modern The opening is green with an sour
tinge of Galbanum then as it dries it sweetens with Amaretto an alcoholic note
that is a bit brave and daring even if the
consumer is under 21, orange blossom is a tad diluted also jasmine but Narcissus
with it's deep and intoxicating properties is dominant and blends nicely

Orris or Iris adds to a powdery earthy
finish and with dry Vetiver.

The Boozy sweetness is a cross between
Ralph Lauren's Pure Turquoise & Queen Latiffah's Queen also i never tried
to original Vivara so i can't judge
but this is nice but it does'nt last long on my skin. it's clean and modern The opening is green with an sour
