Dolce Pear
The Dolce line has a history of misleading names. Dolce Violet is the latest addition to their fragrances that don't smell much like the titular main note. In this case it's a pear fragrance disguised as a violet.
It's a really nice pear though, juicy and kind of warm, it smells relatively natural. Mixed with the blackberry and currant the pear creates a lively, summery scent that feels sweet and mouthwatering. There is also an aquatic, clean, slightly shampoo-ish vibe to this, which might be from the violet and cyclamen notes - but really, if I didn't know that this is supposed to be a violet scent, I wouldn't have thought of it.
I like that there is a touch of vanilla in the base of the fragrance, it makes the fruit notes a little sturdier, so the scent can fade away slowly and doesn't turn into a sour musky mess like some other summery fruity florals do in the drydown.
This is not groundbreaking by any means and I don't feel the need to own a bottle, but it's pretty nice. The only Dolce flanker I really love remains Dolce Garden, that one really stands out from the others.
