Gentle arrogance

You know that Chanel feeling?
Somehow Chanel scents just make me feel different... It's like there's a substance in every Chanel fragrance that makes you feel self-confident and lets you float above things. Between dreaming, self-acceptance and arrogance
Riviera is no exception. Clean, light, unisex and yet very creative, he comes along without having to provoke with anything other than his overbearing manner.

In general it is more on the feminine side, but would be wearable for men in summer without any problems.

A very powdery citric start that slowly becomes more floral without really changing much of its DNA. Sympathetic, intelligent and dignified.

Lasts on me about 6+ hours, at 4 hours of tidy but never heavy or overloaded sillage.

If a woman wore this and came near me, I'd go absolutely crazy. Cuddly scent!

The bottle and spray head are all Chanel: simple, elegant and with a dense and powerful mist

The Kiss

The Year of the Orange

Chanel didn't disappoint me again, but he didn't surprise me either. Even if Shalimar Souffle d'oranger has already played the orange theme skilfully, I won't let anything come to the Paris Riviera. Pleasantly tangy, it refreshes with fresh greenish notes of mandarin orange, which in a way resemble the orange sanguine, but become creamier and softer over time. The Sillage is significantly better than e.g. an Aqua Allegoria, the shelf life as well. Outsiders (foreigners of perfume) perceive him clearly and benevolently.
After 2+ hours, a light, spicy herbaceous note is added, which strikes me very positively. Paris-Riviera has not reinvented the fragrance wheel, but is still a useful refresher, unpretentious and crowdpleasing. Small price (for Chanel), but big impact. The sprayer is only a bit hesitant, so you have to step on the gas several times. Nevertheless: Recommendation! For m/w/d, large and small.

the special appeal of bitter orange

I have recently been able to test some of the fragrances from the "Les Eaux de Chanel" collection and I was enchanted by the transparency of the scent in all of them.
I was very pleasantly surprised, especially because I'm not known to be a Chanel fan.
I encountered shimmering light, a soft glow and, with "Paris - Riviera", a Mediterranean shimmer interspersed with a concert of countless cicadas.
That is extremely impressive.

In "Paris - Riviera" in particular, the special charm of petitgrain, actually a "waste product" of the bitter orange, surprises once again, as leaves, twigs and unripe fruit are "put under steam" to extract the wonderfully fragrant oil.

Together with the effervescence of the orange peel, this creates a summery fragrance, enhanced by Neroli's heart-warming aroma, before jasmine unfolds its radiant white, summery sensuality.
Musk, here stylishly interwoven with Benzoin's golden brown, lends this fragrance arrangement a pleasant creaminess that clearly sets "Paris - Riviera" apart from the typical citrus fragrances.
It unfolds its special charm, a special attitude to life for which the Riviera has long been famous and popular: "Savoir vivre" is probably the appropriate expression here too.

"Paris - Riviera" conveys the feeling of the lightness of the sunny south and invites you to take a short trip there: This flacon contains a little time-out with southern flair, so no need to pack your suitcase and travel stress.

Exclusive toilet cleaner

Unfortunately this smell smells like an exclusive toilet cleaner for me or also at me. A very citric tuft that for me belongs less to the skin and more to the bathroom... That's too bad I was looking forward to a new Chanel scent
