Freshly showered with a little hairspray
I recently chose Illusione Tonka Solaire as my spring fragrance. Twice when I wore it, my friend asked: "What fragrance are you wearing? You smell so fresh and clean. Like freshly showered, only better."
The association "freshly showered" wouldn't have occurred to me on its own, but I know what she means. The fragrance is light, mildly sweet and as white-flowered as the bottle suggests. I can also detect the slight hairspray note that appears in several reviews/statements. For me, this is not unpleasant at all, as the fragrance still has something elegant and subtle about it. A bit like a feel-good cocktail of fragrant creams and products that you use after a long shower.
Personally, I would rate the longevity and sillage better than the rating suggests. I don't often get asked about my fragrances, but I do about this one. And I can still smell the fragrance on my clothes every time I wear it in the evening, sometimes even days later.
