Ode to oud
Dedicated to Dmitry's son, Maxi.
This fragrance is an ode to one of the most precious raw materials: oud.
Inside we find four types: Indian, Trat, Koh Chang (Thailand) and Sri Lankan.
Not only that, they are blended with oils of four roses from India, Himalayas, Indonesia and France.
Initially we find wild, benzene scents combined with some moderately indolic jasmine.
Next, the blend of roses gives a sensation of luminosity, elegance and richness.

Bortnikoff / Oud Maximus
There were two of them, none of them come from France, none of them create in France, they also chose Thailand as a place of obtaining and distilling essential oils from natural ingredients and combining them and creating unique perfumes. I am talking about two artists who are outstanding in my opinion, but most of all masters of distillation techniques. One is Dmitry Bortnikoff (Bortnikoff) and the other is his friend and partner Russian Adam (Areej Le Dore) in their distillation company Feel Oud.

Some translation from:
'HISTORY
The journey into the world of fragrances began with Feel-Oud, a company founded in collaboration with my friend.
We have conducted many unique experiments with rare species of agarwood harvested in remote provinces of Southeast Asia and have become one of the three world leaders in the art of agarwood distillation.
But we didn't limit ourselves to only agarwood, we also distilled the roots of 100-year-old sandalwood, made several infusions based on our oils, seasoning our creations with varieties such as wild Thai white lotus, pink lotus, Thai water lily, jasmine and other tropical flowers and fruit.
The relentless hunt for more interesting and unique fragrances led to the creation of the Bortnikoff brand, where I began experimenting with aromas and combinations beyond agarwood and sandalwood.
When creating the brand, I paid a lot of attention to the components. The task was to find the rarest and most unusual materials with which to work. Materials such as beaver castoreum from Russia, Vietnamese wild agarwood oil, real Atlantic whale white amber, Indonesian white Rosa hybrid, and other multiple recipes that families have kept secret for generations.
Additionally, all Bortnikoff perfumes are released in limited series, not as a tribute to fashion, but as an association with 85% to 100% natural ingredients in our natural perfumes.
Our perfumes contain up to 50 ingredients, which makes them impossible to reproduce, which means that all our collections are unique. Despite the complexity and high costs associated with this craft, we still guarantee the highest quality for connoisseurs of high-class perfumes.
Thanks to this, Bortnikoff is a top-class brand. '

And now much less about the fragrance itself.
I sniffed a lot of 'agar' smells. If I were to recommend a natural and real oud - I would definitely point to brands or distilleries near and far east. One of these brands for me is Bornikoff. He has a lot of great ouds in his collection, really unique. The question of personal reception only - which one is better - whether the Oud Maximus, or the Oud Monarch, or the Mysterious Oud, or the newer Triad. There are, of course, many more, but for me, after many tests of all available Bortnikoff oud fragrances, I like Maximus the most. I honestly cannot describe all the ingredients and impressions of this perfume (except WOW). I can feel in them, above all, a dark, strong, outstanding quality, primal and that far-eastern flavor of oud. In this perfume for me there is everything that delighted me together and which for me is the quintessence of dark power, quality and uniqueness - oud, animalistic notes, birch tar and, oddly enough (because I do not like) perceptible delicately - a very strange rose (but not like in Arabic and often similar perfumes). When it comes to power - very good - should be carefully dosed when it comes to projection - it is at a good level (approx. 8 hours)

Addictive Juice !
Its not easy to judge this fragrance by sniffing or one wearing . It took me 5 full wearing to understand this Beauty . This is an addictive juice . Very different style of OUD ROSE combo , Very very different and challenging as well . But the beauty of the fragrance is in the heart when you will feel the presence of beautiful rose . Lovely composition.

Multi-oud plus orange with a shiny floral heart and a typical high-pitch Bortnikoff vibe. Takes some time to settle nicely
