Beautiful unsual rose oud combo
This one is an unsual rose oud combo. First of all, the oud is animalic so it can be a bit off-putting to some people. Then there's the rose and the grapefruit making a rare combination with the oud. I can smell some green nuances (that remind me of pectoral herbs) and musk to support the whole concoction. Very unusual, but somehow, it works and very well.
So, the people's reaction is mixed. Some of them loved it, some of them just liked it and some of them... hated it, and I understand why. The fragrance is polarizing because of the unexpected blending.
It's loud and a bit piercing, with great performance. On clothes, this lasts ages. The bottle is beautiful.
Khallab is just incredible. At this price point, getting this quality of blending and ingredients? It smells so natural! Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if this has real oud in it. Knowing Ajmal, I wouldn't be surprised at all.
PS: I think the fragrance pyramid is wrong. According to the official website description the notes are: "Grapefruit fresh with a blend, Rose for that floral zing, Woody Musk and Oudh" but the image on the same website shows the notes on EssenceVitae. It's weird, but for what I smell, the "official description" is the right one and the image is wrong.
