From which an Elixir/Intense..
Short and sweet: Zafferano is one of the most interesting summer fragrances I have ever smelled. Here were not striking a few citrus fruits with jasmine, some oakmoss and vetiver combined, here was created an almost unique, fresh interplay of just those fruits and fine saffron.
Admittedly, oriental saffron and a dark rose do not actually fit an Italian, fresh summer, as AdP always recreates. But this fragrance in particular shows how important it is to just try something.
Zafferano is not heavy, not sweet and not gourmand. Zafferano smells so refreshingly striking and different, it offers an olfactory facet of summer, which I had not yet known in this form.
The scent progression is quite simple, with time the lemon / tangerine symbiosis wears off a bit, although the fragrance never loses its lightness.
Just here is also my only criticism: Zafferano performs quite solid for a summer fragrance, but for the advertised price it should be more perceptible. It does not have to be a Beastmode perfume, but it would be a pity if such a fragrance no longer surrounds you after a short time.
