Flowerwater Overdrive
Actually, with Luxury Overdose I had almost imagined an overdose. A creation in an extremely distinctive bottle that truly indulges in luxury and embodies the finest ingredients - united in an aura of absolute perfection, rich in sensual impressions and feelings of happiness.
Maybe so, but apparently I'm the wrong target group here. Of course I like it luxurious and valuable - but at Luxury Overdose there is an opulent start with heavy sweet oriental notes, which actually makes you want more. But then it becomes quite quickly floral or a green jasmine-like overtone appears, which reminds me strongly of flower water. Maybe the combination with Ylang Ylang is too much of a good thing, because everything else, even something as striking as orange blossom, is mostly faded out for me.
Only very very late, when the fragrance gradually dims out and the personal disturbance disappears, does the seductive base once again come to light. Here, sparsely used patchouli, some sandalwood, soft amber, a hint of musk, a pinch of authentic vanilla as well as some splinters of cashmere wood give a dark, mysterious rendezvous. Absolutely quiet, but simply dreamlike.
However, I didn't have the slightest motivation to spray again on the test day, because I didn't want to be confronted again with this floral broadside or dare to do it among people. On paper, however, Luxury Overdrive oddly enough comes across a bit smoother, but I think that ladies rather than gentlemen would be more comfortable with it.
