"It smells like a room fragrance"
Almost 3 weeks ago I went on a school trip to Salerno (near Naples).
I was looking for a fruity summer fragrance that you could only buy in Italy.
I asked for help in the live ticker, whereupon various fragrances were recommended to me.
The week in Salerno was great fun with a varied program (diving, snorkelling and windsurfing)
However, I was really only waiting for one thing - the trip to Naples.
Sunny day
In a good mood
100 euros in my pocket
We were ready to set off for the "so dangerous" city of Naples
In the car, we were assigned security measures, but my thoughts were already elsewhere.
"You always have to stay together in groups of 4" - how am I supposed to persuade my whole group of friends (who have no interest in perfume) to go to a perfume store with me? The challenge was big and I knew it would be hard.
"You now have 45 minutes to walk around the city freely" said the guide after we had eaten a semi-liquid Neapolitan pizza for 2 euros.
I didn't waste a minute and asked my colleague about Hotspot.
450m - this was the distance to the closest perfumery.
I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a struggle - my friends wanted to run into the opposite alley.
"Come on... it'll only take 10min" - this I said, knowing full well it would take longer. I reckoned it would take 35 minutes.
When I arrived, I sent my friends to a souvenir store - I didn't waste any time in the small perfumery.
The owner spoke very little English - it was difficult to communicate with him.
Nevertheless, he was able to show me a few summer fragrances, but I liked the Sun-Gria the best.
145 euros - I was missing 45
I quickly went to a friend who lent me 50.
It was definitely a risky purchase as the durability on my skin was uncertain.
However, it was an "extrait de parfum", which eased my worries considerably.
I happily left the store with my new perfume and 2 bottles.
"That smells like a room fragrance," said my boyfriend when he could smell the perfume on my skin. I looked at him stupidly as he was comparing my niche perfume with a cheap room fragrance. What a shame! I couldn't blame him though, as he has no idea about the art of fragrances.
And now to the fragrance:
A cocktail explosion! When I saw the fragrance pyramid on EssenceVitae, I couldn't believe my eyes.
I think it speaks for itself! I like the opening a little less, although I find the dry-down very convincing.
The red wine doesn't interfere at all and is more in the background. I can imagine this fragrance very well for summer evenings.
The longevity is really great (over 8 hours). Sometimes I wake up in the morning and can still smell it lightly on my skin.
For this price, a recommendation to buy from my side. You definitely have to try it.
Wow. Thank you for your attention if you've read this far ;)
