worth a try!
I understand that this is a slightly simplified dupe of Cheirosa '62, at least according to the notes of this vs that. I have this, and I tested Cheirosa '62. I am tempted to purchase Cheirosa '62 for more intensive testing purposes, namely in other seasons. it is pricey, but it is also tempting. I might just have to try, since I'm generally keen on this scent. that said, the 2 smell near exactly the same to me. in general, this scent doesn't pull as gourmand for me as I was hoping. I definitely get the amber and the floral. actually, I also realize this reminds me of Velvet Petals a fair bit. the only difference is that here it's pistachio and there it's almond. other than that, they feel fairly similar. this is heavier, though. but both this and Velvet Petals are kind of floral, kind of gourmand. it's a good mix between the two. this is definitely very amber when initially sprayed, reminding me heavily of certain other ambery perfumes I've tried, such as some Al Rehab scents. but it dries down to smell just like Cheirosa '62 to me. I've heard super mixed things in regards to Cheirosa '62, in terms of longevity, and whether or not it's really worth the price. if you feel it's not worth it, I say Vacation Vibe is worth a shot, even if you were paying full Bath & Body Works price. I got this on sale. very worth sale price. despite this being released for summer, I've got a feeling it'll be way more enjoyable when the weather is cooler.
editing to add that... as much as I like this, the sillage is nearly non-existent. it sticks to the skin, but I could barely smell it from the back of my neck after maybe 20 minutes? and even then, it's really faint on the skin. I still like it, but it's kind of a bummer. I can only stand so many sprays at a time because of the amber pistachio floral combo... and while I like the drydown, it's a shame I gotta put my arm to my nose for that. note that the success with Bath & Body Works body mists varies wildly and that your experience may be different from mine. I still maintain the opinion that this is worth trying.
